About the Program

The Shackouls Honors College draws regional and national attention because of its size and structure. Though the College includes over 1,000 students, Honors classes are typically limited to no more than twenty students. Students receive individualized instruction from faculty members who challenge them to explore their potential.

Available Honors Courses

Each semester's Honors College schedule is accessible through OnCampus (https://oncampus.msstate.edu/cp/home/loginf) and Banner Web (https://mybanner.msstate.edu/), two of many online resources on the University's intranet. The Honors course and the corresponding regular course have the same course number. However, the section number for each Honors course begins with the letter H. Most courses have "Honors" in the course title. A department may designate any course for Honors credit. Therefore, it is wise to check the departmental listings.
