Comments on Problems or Conditions for Access:
Most of campus is accessible for students with physical disabilities. Those with documented disabilities should work with the Access Center to construct an appropriate accommodations plan for their time in La Crosse.

With regards to local transportation, there is some wheel chair accessibility at the airport. However, there may be more limitations at the La Crosse Train station as there is only one entrance (near the center of the building) that allows for wheel chair access into/out of the building. The La Crosse train station/depot is an older building, so there may be some issues with accessibility.

General Health Comments:
Under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), The ACCESS Center protects qualified students enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse from discrimination on the basis of disability and assures provision of reasonable accommodations.

To determine that a student is protected by the two laws, The ACCESS Center requires documentation that diagnoses a disability and describes how the condition directly and substantially limits a major life function such as learning. For more information on disability documentation guidelines, visit: https://www.uwlax.edu/access-center/disability-documentation/
