General Administrative Comments:
No paper bills will be sent to students. Students view bills in their SPIRE online account and all billing information is on the bursar website. Online payment is through QuikPay, the UMass system, which can be accessed in SPIRE. Instructions can be found on the bursar's website. Students encouraged to sign up for UMass Payment Plan.
Financial Concerns
- Tuition can be deferred with proof of aid until mid-Sept. for fall.
- Housing payment can be deferred with proof of aid until mid-Sept. for fall.
- Meals can be deferred with proof of aid until mid-Sept. for fall.
Notes on Payment Plans:
The UPay payment plan is one of the payment options through Quikpay. UPay is the University Installment Plan and most exchange students enroll in this plan. There is a nominal enrollment fee.

All students MUST have health insurance. The automatically billed UMass insurance is waivable with proof of students' own insurance, EXCEPT FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS WHO MUST PURCHASE THE UMASS INSURANCE. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS CANNOT waive the UMass insurance.
