About This Campus
Oklahoma State University is known for friendliness & an award-winning learning/living environment. OSU is branded as "America’s Healthiest Campus" & is home to the Colvin Center, one of the nation's best facilities for sport, recreation, & fitness. Students love Pete’s Pet Posse, a group of trained therapy dogs who come to campus daily to interact with students. Native American culture abounds in Oklahoma, home to over 35 tribes, with OSU graduating the highest percentage of Native American students in the US. An advanced technology Business Building opened in 2018; a state-of-the-art Endeavor laboratory in Engineering are unique in the nation for enhancing student learning. The Greenwood School of Music's new building opened in 2021 & world-renowned performing arts feature at the McKnight Center. The New Frontiers Agricultural Hall opened in Fall 25. Helpful Information
OSU welcomes all NSE students! Placement is guaranteed for HOST Pay for qualified applicants. Course selection is after OSU students, so course flexibility is helpful. AG COMM courses requires departmental approval before students will be accepted for placement. Education, Clinical Psychology, STRAT COMM, Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering & some upper division engineering programs have very limited access. Areas that require studio work such as Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Interior Design, Art, & Music programs have limitations & require portfolio reviews or auditions prior to placement, when possible, & required prior to admission. Limited access to Accounting or Computer Sciences classes, however students have unlimited access to MSIS (Management Science & Info Systems) classes.
It is useful to have a car in Stillwater, although limited bus service is available (free with OSU ID). Most social/cultural activities occur on/near campus.

- Hotel/Restaurant Management — Historically strong program with a research hotel on campus as well as state-of-the-art learning labs, including a quantity food kitchen, fine dining lab restaurant, beverage education center, quick-service restaurant lab & demonstration classroom.
- Music Performance — New Michael & Anne Greenwood School of Music provides a professional environment that stimulates the highest standards of excellence in music education, research, performance, creativity, and service.
UNIQUE ACADEMICS PROGRAMS:
- Entrepreneurship — This program is top in the nation with unique internship and business incubation opportunities.
- Fire Science — This program attracts students from around the world interested in Fire Safety and Protection. OSU is the largest publisher of fire safety manuals. Oldest fire-related program in North America.
