CSU Pueblo is the first university in Colorado to offer cannabis biology and chemistry as an undergraduate major and as a graduate program.

Helpful Information

Students at CSU Pueblo will be able to take advantage of the dining hall on campus, restaurants, and coffee shops. There are also student support services available including mental healthcare, a wellness center with a nurse practitioner as well as our recreation center. Everything a student needs will be located on campus or there will be locations close by for the student to travel to if needed. Students should take advantage of our outdoor pursuits group to travel to the Rocky Mountains.

  • Athletic TrainingAthletic training is the prevention, evaluation, management and rehabilitation of injuries/illnesses to the athlete or the physically active. Completion of the CSU-Pueblo Athletic Training Program will prepare the athletic training student to challenge the Board of Certification (BOC) examination and the profession of athletic training. The Colorado State University-Pueblo Athletic Training Program is a Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). accredited Athletic Training Education program.
  • BusinessAll undergraduate business majors (accounting, business management, and economics) take the Business Core. The Core prepares students who are declaring a business major for general business knowledge and skills. The Core classes also provide students with an understanding of and appreciation for the intellectual discipline needed for successful completion of a business major. These courses provide students with the common body of knowledge needed for imaginative and responsible citizenship and leadership roles in business and society, domestic and worldwide. The Business Core is designed to provide students with the opportunity to integrate their educational experience in business within a specific discipline and across disciplines. CSU Pueblo has an AACSB accreditation.
  • SpanishThe Spanish Program at CSU Pueblo follows a proficiency-oriented philosophy that encourages students not only to read and write the language but to speak it. Our faculty uses a communicative approach that is learner centered so students make the maximum use of class time for language practice with their peers and teachers. The program offers a major and a minor. For each, students take a combination of skills building courses, conversation and composition courses centered on the culture of Spanish speaking areas around the world, and literature courses that emphasize language proficiency and critical thinking.

  • Cannabis Biology & ChemistryCannabis Biology and Chemistry, BS The Cannabis Biology and Chemistry, BS program at CSU Pueblo offers a strong foundation in the scientific principles of cannabis, with concentrations in Hemp Agriculture, Analytical, Natural Products, and Cannabis Industry Management. Students explore plant biology, chemistry, and analytical techniques, preparing them for careers in research, quality control, product development, and various sectors of the cannabis industry.
  • MechatronicsThe Mechatronics Engineering, Bachelor of Science program at CSU Pueblo combines key principles of mechanical and electrical engineering to prepare students for careers in advanced technology and automation. This interdisciplinary program equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to design, build, and maintain smart systems that integrate mechanics, electronics, and computing. Students will develop the ability to design and troubleshoot complex mechatronic systems while gaining hands-on experience with real-world applications in robotics, automation, and manufacturing.
