About This Campus
WSU is located in the largest city in Kansas, combining tradition with innovation and taking learning out of the classroom and into the real world - gaining practical experience, building a resume and making connections to get a jump-start on a career. On and off campus, Shockers have access to arts, entertainment, student groups, athletics, and volunteer opportunities. Shocker Hall, The Flats and The Suites provide on-campus living with quick access to all the events and resources the university has to offer. WSU is home to 15 NCAA Division I Teams, plus a wide range of intramural and club sports. WSU's active Greek community is comprised of 13 sororities and 13 fraternities, including Historically Black, Latino, Asian and Muslim Charters. WSU has 70 undergraduate degree programs in more than 230 areas of study. Through the Cooperative Education and Internships program, students earn college credit, professional connections and experience-based learning.
