California State University East Bay
Hayward, California
About This Campus
Welcome! CSU East Bay (also know as Cal State East Bay or CSUEB) sits in the Hayward Hills with a spectacular panoramic view of the San Francisco Bay area, and is home to one of the most diverse student populations on the U.S. mainland. CSUEB is a federally designated Asian American, Native American, Pacific Islander Serving Institution (AANAPISI) and Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI). The most popular undergraduate majors are Business Administration, Psychology, Public Health, Kinesiology, Criminal Justice, Biological Sciences, Sociology, Computer Science, Human Development, and Art. While most students commute to campus, approximately 1200 students live in on-campus housing, and many more in nearby apartment complexes.
Location Information
Enjoy the view of the San Francisco Bay Area from our hilltop campus. From the city of Hayward (population of 155,000) students explore the entire San Francisco Bay Area and can reach San Francisco, Berkeley, or Silicon Valley within 30-45 minutes. CSUEB students have free access to Alameda County buses, which link campus to downtown Hayward (and beyond). Once downtown, students can use Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) to travel to further Bay Area destinations.
