Founded as a public school in 1969, Stockton serves as the "Anchor Institution" for Atlantic County, NJ. Helpful Information
Both our Atlantic City and Galloway campuses are highly walkable and photogenic, with easy transportation between the two. Our Greater Atlantic City region offers excellent opportunities for seasonal/temporary employment, regardless of major. Our beaches are clean, free, and open all year long. Did you know the board game "Monopoly" was named after streets in Atlantic City, NJ?
Location Information
Stockton University is one hour from Philadelphia, two hours from New York City, and three hours from Washington, D.C. We offer unique living and learning environments throughout southern New Jersey. Our 1,600-acre Galloway campus is in the Pinelands National Reserve, and beach-front living at Stockton University Atlantic City is located in the University District, just steps from the ocean and situated directly on the iconic Atlantic City Boardwalk.

NOTABLE ACADEMICS PROGRAMS:
- Business — The School of Business at Stockton University is AACSB accredited. The faculty delivers excellence in teaching and actively pursues scholarly activities and professional development that contribute to classroom effectiveness. The faculty produces scholarly works that advance the knowledge and practice of business, hospitality and tourism management, and computer science and information systems. The school strives to have a positive impact on the wider community, responding to the evolving needs of the Southern New Jersey region, the State of New Jersey and beyond.
- Health Science — The Bachelor of Science in Health Science Program (BSHS) uses an interdisciplinary approach to prepare students for a range of career options, from entry-level positions in the health services arena to admission into graduate or professional educational programs in disciplines such as medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, physician assistant, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology.
- Hospitality, Tourism and Event Management — Stockton is a Top 10 Hospitality Program in the US, with access to the Greater Atlantic City region. Our experienced faculty interact and connect students with industry partners who give first-hand insight and hands-on experience in hospitality, tourism, and event management.
- Marine Science — Stockton's Marine Science (MARS) program encompasses two general areas of study: Marine Biology and Oceanography. The program is interdisciplinary and requires student competence in several areas of science. Stockton University is one of only a few undergraduate institutions in the U.S. that offer a degree program in Marine Science with a dedicated, easily accessible field facility (Stockton Marine Field Station). Students have the opportunity to collaborate with faculty to design and implement research projects.
- Psychology — Stockton's Psychology program offers popular concentrations in Educational, Empirical Research, Forensic, and Mental Health curricula. Our popular Forensic Psych program seeks to understand the overall relationship between psychological principles and criminal offending.
UNIQUE ACADEMICS PROGRAMS:
- Africana Studies — The Africana Studies program provides the opportunity for students to study, analyze and systematically evaluate the various disciplines from an Africana perspective. The program continues to attract students from all ethnic, racial, and cultural backgrounds as they recognize ways that Africana Studies provides them with a forum to examine the intellectual life, the historical experience, and the cultural understanding of one of this country’s largest racial minority groups.
- Digital Studies — The Digital Studies program provides a practitioner-based curriculum that produces well-rounded graduates who are prepared to excel in every aspect of media and emerging technology and meet global demands. Digital media and technologies include graphic images, text, video, audio, computer programming, online game, and websites.
- Esports Management — Esports has become one of the most rapidly growing, multi-national, billion-dollar industries driven by the growing prevalence of (online) games and online broadcasting technologies. This program is designed to meet the rapidly growing needs of this industry and prepare you to be a leader with a robust esports background focused on business management and events.
- Hemp & Cannabis Business Management — The Bachelor of Science in Hemp & Cannabis Business Management (HACM) offers a robust educational pathway for students interested in the burgeoning hemp and cannabis industries. Students will have the opportunity to work with industry leaders and local businesses, gaining practical experience in cultivation, processing, marketing, and regulatory compliance in the dynamic hemp and cannabis markets.
