About This Campus
Colorado Mesa University aspires to be a human scale university that serves as a model of the world we want to create, a world where people aspire to love, extend dignity, choose courage, demonstrate humility, develop resiliency, celebrate curiosity, and use power for good. CMU has an enrollment of more than 10,000 students. Students can choose from more than 200 programs of study along with graduate programs in business administration, education, kinesiology, nursing, OT, PT, PA, and social work. Within our University is CMU Tech where students access the hands-on training and practical skills necessary to succeed in a growing economy where trade and technical skills are needed. Our faculty creates an environment designed to foster a dynamic exchange of ideas. In addition to teaching, professors serve as academic advisors and collaborate with students each year in challenging undergraduate research programs, an experience often found only in graduate programs.
CMU's Limelight Rainforest team bested ~300 other teams from 70 countries to win the XPRIZE Rainforest competition & $5 million top prize.
One of the largest geothermal heat pump systems in North America connects16 buildings & provides 90% of the energy to operate the campus.
