About This Campus
Boise offers a quality of life rated as one of the best in the U.S., with scenic natural wonders, cultural diversity, and a progressive western attitude. Boise boasts over 1600 acres of parks linked by a 14-mile long "Green Belt" popular with bicyclists and joggers. The Boise river runs through the city and by the Boise State campus, providing many recreational opportunities. Founded in 1932, Boise State enrolls approximately 26,000 students who live both on and off campus. The campus is located near the center of Boise, allowing students easy access to the resources and recreation the city has to offer. Boise State hosts one of the west's top colleges of business, and biology and geology departments that use the outdoors as their classroom. Boise State also offers nationally accredited programs in health, business (AACSB), engineering (ABET) and education.

Helpful Information
Boise State University is a welcoming and student-centered campus. Course availability is generally good, although popular classes can fill up quickly, so having backup options is helpful. Housing can be competitive, on-campus space is limited, but if students need to live off campus, our office can help them navigate local options and find suitable alternatives. Boise itself is very accessible, with public transit, bike paths, and a walkable campus, making commuting straightforward. Overall, students enjoy the friendly campus culture, supportive staff, and the balance of an active university environment within a vibrant, outdoor-focused city.
