Location Information
The University of Georgia is located in Athens, a pleasant college town with a population of 127,000 in the rolling hills of northeast Georgia, just 60 miles northeast of Atlanta. Exchange students are not permitted to take courses in Law, Pharmacy, and Veterinary Medicine.
RESTRICTED/LIMITED PROGRAMS:
Courses in Terry College of Business, SPIA School of Public and International Affairs, and Grady College of Journalism & Mass Communication have some restrictions. Other majors with some course limitations include: Art, Middle School Education, Environmental Design, Exercise and Sports Science, Kinesiology, Special Education, Sports Studies, and Social Work. Music performance and dance classes require audition. Students must meet prerequisite requirements in order to take upper-level courses. Course registration is first-come, first-serve, and some classes will fill up quickly.

On-campus housing cannot be guaranteed. NSE students will be placed in Building 1516 in double rooms, usually with another NSE student. On-campus housing for Spring semester is very limited. Please be prepared to live off campus if you are attending UGA for Spring semester only. There are plenty of off-campus sublease options available through Facebook groups.
NOTES ABOUT OFF-CAMPUS HOUSING:
Facebook groups are a great place to look for subleases if you are attending UGA for only 1 semester. Most leases in Athens run from August through July.
