Rocky Mountain College welcomes exchange students into its supportive, close-knit campus community. Placement is typically easy to secure, and our engaged faculty and staff offer personalized guidance throughout course selection and registration. With small class sizes, students quickly connect with professors and peers, easing academic transitions. The compact campus makes getting around simple, and most students walk or bike from nearby housing. Housing is available to exchange students. Billings offers affordable living options close to campus, and city transit is available intermittently throughout the day.

Rocky Mountain College's Aeronautical Science: Professional Pilot program is closed to exchange students. Exchange students may take course work, as appropriate, within the Aviation Management and Uncrewed Aerial Systems program.

With access to Yellowstone National Park and the nearby Beartooth, Pryor, Big Horn, and Crazy Mountains, students in the natural sciences benefit from diverse ecosystems and natural laboratories that bring learning to life.
  • Health & Human PerformanceRocky Mountain College offers a holistic, science-centered Health Science program that blends biology, chemistry, anatomy, social sciences, and hands-on experience to prepare students for careers promoting individual and community wellness. The Human Performance program builds expertise in kinesiology, sport science, and exercise, exploring biomechanics, physiology, nutrition, and injury prevention through both coursework and practical labs. Complementary minors in Coaching and Exercise Science equip students with leadership, skill development, and evidence-based practices for motivating athletes, designing safe and effective programs, and advancing health promotion or athletic performance in a range of professional fields.

  • Equestrian StudiesRMC offers five equestrian studies majors and a pre-vet option—making it one of just a handful of colleges nationwide with this breadth. Our small classes mean you’ll enjoy individualized instruction and mentoring, and facilities like White Aspen Ranch provide an authentic, hands-on experience. Nationally recognized instructors, internship placements, and real-world competition opportunities set our students up for leadership in any equine field they choose.
  • Uncrewed Aerial SystemsIn our state-of-the-art labs and on Montana’s wide-open terrain, students fly commercial-grade drones, conduct fieldwork, and build a portfolio of professional-grade aerial maps, GIS analyses, and project deliverables. Every student completes a capstone project tackling real-world industry or community challenges—whether it’s mapping habitat for conservation, planning search-and-rescue missions, or producing aerial cinematography for local events.

Housing is provided to students interested in living on campus. Various options exist based on class standing and age. An application for housing is required to be placed in a residence hall. Roommates are assigned based on the information provided in the housing application.

Students who plan on living off campus, must formally submit an off campus housing application. Students who hold sophomore standing, a resident of Yellowstone County, or are 21 and older are eligible to live off campus.
