University of Michigan Flint
Flint, Michigan
About This Campus
UM-Flint offers degrees in over 100 undergraduate and 26 graduate areas, including two doctorate programs. We are one of only 311 universities nationwide to receive the Carnegie Classification for Community Engagement. We are one of only 14 institutions in the country to be designated a Tillman Scholars campus for military veterans by the Pat Tillman Foundation. For 10 consecutive years, the Princeton Review has named UM-Flint one of the best colleges and universities in the Midwest. Students at UM-Flint are taught 100% by faculty, not by teaching assistants. The student to faculty ratio is 17-1. Our School of Management is listed in The Best 300 Business Schools: 2011 Edition (Random House/Princeton Review). The UM-Flint science building was recently renovated to revitalize classrooms and laboratories to better prepare K-12 science teachers, as well as those pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Helpful Information
Students at UM-Flint find the faculty and staff to be passionate about their work, the students, and about the City of Flint. We are a close knit group that care not only about our students education, but about who they are, where they are going, and what they want to become. Faculty and Staff at UM-Flint take the time to care about individuals, and go above and beyond to give our students the best experience possible, from the faculty to the grounds keepers. We are the jewel of Flint.
