Vermont State University is a public university with multiple learning sites throughout the state, including the campuses in Castleton, Johnson, and Lyndon. VTSU is designated as the premier liberal arts university (COPLAC) in Vermont, serving students throughout the Northeast and the US, including a diverse body of international students. With 100+ rigorous and rewarding academic programs, 108 clubs and organizations, as well as NCAA Division III men's and women's varsity sports and intramural opportunities, the University still strives to maintain small classes (average class size is 17) characterized by active student learning, careful attention to writing and other forms of expression, and close relationships with the faculty. Location Information
VTSU campuses are located in the heart of the Green Mountains, within driving distance to Boston, NYC, and Montreal. A short walk from any campus yields a number of places to eat and shop, including cozy coffee shops, bookstores, and groceries. Vermont is a paradise for outdoor lovers. During the fall semester, our campuses will be ablaze with brilliant foliage color. In the winter months, be prepared to play in the snow. Our campuses are a short drive away from major ski resorts.
