CLOSED PROGRAMS:

Architecture studios and workshops and courses in apparel, graphic design, and interior design are closed. Professional journalism courses are closed. Nursing courses are closed. Some upper-division courses in the Carlson School of Management (CSOM) are closed. Chemical Engineering and Materials Science are closed. MATH 1371, 1372, 2373, 2374 are closed. Computer Science courses, 3081W and 4061, are closed. NSE students may not have access to some student services (including Handshake) in the College of Science and Engineering and the Carlson School of Management.

RESTRICTED/LIMITED PROGRAMS:

Students wishing to take any course offered by the Carlson School of Management (CSOM) must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and have course flexibility. Upper division (3000 level and above) courses for Microbiology and Neuroscience are limited. Students should have access to most lower division courses within the College of Science and Engineering (CSE) as long as they have the appropriate prerequisites completed; they must work with each department to register. Upper-Division courses in CSE CANNOT be guaranteed. Both lower and upper division courses in Computer Science are limited. Psychology, Spanish, Photography, and upper-division Economics are in high demand and space may not be available. Music, Theater, and Dance courses may require an audition. Access to Honors courses may be limited. Courses in the College of Design are limited.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Housing and Res Life Fee is required for students living on campus. The Academic Records Fee provides unlimited free official transcripts. The International Student Support Services fee is mandatory for students coming from Canada.

NOTES ABOUT ON-CAMPUS HOUSING:

Historically, on campus housing has been available for every NSE student. Most choose to live in Yudof Hall, an apartment-style building. Per semester rates range from $4500 to $6800. No meal plan is required as each unit has a kitchen. NSE students looking for a more affordable option choose Centennial Hall ($4100-$4800/semester) though a meal plan is required.

NOTES ABOUT OFF-CAMPUS HOUSING:

Off campus housing is plentiful within walking (or bussing) distance from campus. Rents range from $600 to $1200 per month.
