About This Campus
Widener University is a small, private, comprehensive university located on a 110-acre campus, only 20 minutes from Philadelphia (the fifth largest city in the United States). Our history as a former military college has given Widener a strong foundation, and has created a lasting set of values that are reflected in the university's mission statement today. Location Information
Widener is located on a beautiful campus in a small city near Philadelphia. Only twenty minutes from Widener University, Philadelphia is the nation’s fifth largest city, and home to world-class art, culture, sports, entertainment, and history. With accessible regional public transport, you can easily commute from our main campus in Chester to an internship or co-op in Center City, Philadelphia’s thriving commercial and business district, and a great place to launch your career.
