About This Campus
The Metropolitan Campus (MC) is the largest unit of the Inter American University of Puerto Rico (IAUPR). It is a private coeducational non-profit teaching institution established in 1912 and was the first institution in Puerto Rico accredited by the Middle States Commissions on Higher Education (MSCHE) in 1944 till present. Other Accreditations include Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. Council of Social Work Education. Network of International Business Schools. National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences. Council for the Accreditation of Education Preparation. MC is also licensed by the Council of Education of Puerto Rico. MC is an official campus since 1970. MC is the only institution in Puerto Rico that offers programs in English and Spanish. Students can earn degrees in Business Administration, Biomedical Science, Nursing and Psychology completely in English.

Studying at M C provides exchange students with unique experience by means of the following: an off-campus Spanish language immersion, the official language in Puerto Rico. Plenty opportunities to interact with locals students and from other countries. May enjoy gastronomic, musical and traditional new experiences. The International Relations Program provides support to students who are not resident of Puerto Rico.
Location Information
The Inter American University of Puerto Rico Metropolitan Campus in Rio Piedras is located in the Island capital city of San Juan. Puerto Rico is an archipelago with diverse ecosystem within its territory, from tropical wetlands and rainforest to uninhabited desert locations. Its mountainous terrain and irregular coastline allows for the practice for many outdoors sports: hiking, camping, biking, zip lining, rappelling and surfing.
