About This Campus
Université de Sherbrooke main campus is situated on the flank of "Mont-Bellevue" on 300 hectares of green space. The area offers all the advantages of the city life in a delightfully natural setting. It is a French-speaking institution with 8 faculties (including a school of music). Academic programs are innovative and some are very unique in their method of teaching. Because of its leadership in sustainable development, UdeS is part of the top 10 in the world according to STARS (Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System). The Salle Maurice O'Bready Concert Hall located on-campus presents theater, comedy and concerts. The Sports Center also offers excellent facilities. Public transit is FREE for all students!

Location Information
The city of Sherbrooke is located in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. A beautiful bilingual (French/English) region, situated 1h30 southeast of Montreal, near the Vermont US border, and 2h30 from Quebec city.

French literature and Communication courses requires EXCELLENT French proficiency (minimum strong C1). Business courses taught in English are not available to exchange students. OTHER ACADEMIC INFORMATION:
The language of instruction is French. For all programs, students must take our online French Placement Test prior to the March placement to demonstrate they have an advance French proficiency (strong B2 or C1). Contact NSE coordinator to register to the test 3-4 weeks minimum before placement.
