University of Wyoming
Laramie, Wyoming
About This Campus
The University of Wyoming, established in 1886 and still the only 4-year university in Wyoming, is a land-grant institution where innovative research and the pursuit of academic excellence take place within a safe, close-knit community. Just like the state of Wyoming, UW is both big and small. Wyoming, known worldwide for its beauty, is full of wide-open spaces and magnificent mountain ranges, and UW echoes these spaces in the scope of its innovation, its energetic ambition to better the global community, and its world-class facilities. Although Wyoming is the 10th-largest state in the USA, it has the smallest population, creating tight-knit communities around the state that band together for progress. In the same way, students and faculty at UW work together towards a greater future, meeting in small classes and enjoying a 14:1 student-to-faculty ratio.
Football Legacy: We are the alma mater of Josh Allen, the 2024 NFL MVP. If you love football, this is a great place to be!
Unique Programs: We offer Environmental Science, Outdoor Rec & Petroleum Engineering classes. If you want new courses, this is your campus!
