Southern Utah University is located in Cedar City, Utah, a city of approximately 24,000, situated in one of the most unique scenic and recreational areas in the nation. Students can enjoy a number of local festivals, including the Tony-Award winning Utah Shakespeare Festival. SUU is a comprehensive, regional liberal arts university offering graduate, baccalaureate, associate and technical programs. Location Information
It is centrally located within an hour-and-a-half drive of Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Cedar Breaks National Monument, and within a three-hour drive of the Grand Canyon. Las Vegas is a two-and-a-half hour drive away. For the outdoor enthusiast, the area offers hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, skiing, golfing, fishing and hunting.

- Business — Through student-centered education, the Dixie L. Leavitt School of Business provides the knowledge and direction that forms a foundation for lifelong student success.
- Elementary Education — Develops agents of change through a comprehensive curriculum, outstanding faculty, and real-world teaching experiences. The program offers both B.A. and B.S. degrees, emphasizing values such as assessment, instructional planning, learner development, and ethical behavior. Graduates are prepared for licensure and teaching careers in Utah and beyond.
- Engineering — Offers a learning-centered environment with ABET accredited programs in Engineering and Engineering Technology. The department also offers the students an opportunity to develop a broad range of academic skill in the program discipline area of Construction Management.
- Performance — Serves as a catalyst for students to realize their creative potential by providing a personalized and rigorous learning environment, fostering experiential education and contributing to the cultural enrichment of a global society.
- Theater Art — Challenges and inspires students through rigorous training in acting, voice, and movement. With options for a BA or BS, this program blends theatre arts with a broad general studies foundation, preparing you for dynamic careers in the arts.

- Outdoor Recreation Management — Students at SUU benefit from the many opportunities to connect classroom learning to real world experiences that occur in the surrounding national parks and public lands.
