About This Campus

UCCS is one of 4 campuses in the U of Colorado system and emphasizes a broad range of programs in the liberal arts and sciences, business, engineering, nursing, education, and public affairs. We offer a vibrant cultural life and immediate access to numerous recreational opportunities including river rafting, hiking, golf, horseback riding, mountain biking, fishing, skiing, snowboarding, and hot air ballooning. Colorado Springs is home to more than 20 national and international sports organizations, including the headquarters of the US Olympic Training Center.

Location Information
UCCS is located 57 miles south of Denver, and 30 miles north of Pueblo. We are located less than 2 hours from the closest ski resort - Monarch Mountain, and a little over 2 hours from Breckenridge and Aspen. At UCCS, college doesn’t just happen in the classroom. It happens at a Mountain Lions game, a Theatreworks production at our beautiful ENT Center for the performing arts, a SOLE trip where you can go white water rafting, hiking, soak in a hot springs, skiing, rock climbing, biking etc, a yoga class at the Rec Center, or over a delicious buffalo burger at Clyde’s Gastropub. We know a campus alive and buzzing with activities is just as important as books, writing papers, and study time. Being centrally located within the state, we are within an hour of professional sports, world class Winter and Summer outdoor sports and activities, hundreds of concerts and cultural events and venues.

RESTRICTED/LIMITED PROGRAMS:
College of Business: All courses available to HOST pay incoming students. LIMITED number of courses available to NSE students under Home Pay plans. College of Health Sciences/Nursing: VERY LIMITED to Home Pay plans. To take upper division Health Science courses, YOU MUST COME ON HOST PAY. College of Engineering must come on Host Pay but all classes available to NSE students as long as pre-requisites are met.
