About This Campus
The University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, was established in 1903. It's the oldest and largest center of higher education in the Caribbean. It is also recognized as the unit with the most comprehensive professional and graduate programs and the leading research university in Puerto Rico, with 30 libraries and investigation centers.
The UPR offers over 80 undergraduate, 55 master’s degree and 14 doctoral programs under the following schools: Architecture, Business Administration, Communications, Education, General Studies, Graduate School of Planning, Graduate School of Science and Information Technology, Humanities, Law School, Natural Sciences and Social Sciences.
Our institution is proudly accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and the Puerto Rico Council on Higher Education. We offer more than 25 academic programs that hold specialized accreditations from leading professional agencies and organizations, ensuring the highest standards of educational.

The UPR is located in the Island's capital city of San Juan, one of the America's oldest towns. Nestled in a tropical setting between the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, Puerto Rico boasts more than 250 miles of beautiful shoreline, inviting to swimming, boating, and myriad of other marine recreational activities. Law School and Graduate Programs
RESTRICTED/LIMITED PROGRAMS:
Highly competitive courses in Computer Sciences, Psychology, Communication and Business Administration. Students taking courses in the School of Communications must have 3.0 GPA. Students taking courses in the School of Natural Sciences must have a 3.0 GPA. The Architecture School requires evaluating the student profile before considering admission. The courses of the Continuing Educational and Professional Studies Division (DECEP) are not included in the cost of Home and Away Tuition Payment Plans. Student must pay for each DECEP courses. Courses in Communication are not guaranteed.
OTHER ACADEMIC INFORMATION:
