AlaskaMester is an immersive semester long exchange opportunity open to NSE students from any major, designed to help you explore Alaska’s cultures, landscapes, and pressing environmental questions firsthand. While students from all academic backgrounds are welcome, the program offers a special emphasis on climate and environmental science, taking full advantage of Alaska’s status as a living laboratory for studying change. Through small classes, hands-on field experiences, and direct engagement with local communities, AlaskaMester gives you the chance to earn meaningful academic credit while building real-world skills, exploring the outdoors, and experiencing a one-of-a-kind semester you can’t find anywhere else in the country.
Same as regular exchange based on either Home or Away plans. No extra fees.
