Helpful Information
U of I has many hands-on learning opportunities. Students may spend a Semester in the Wild learning about the environment, design a hybrid Formula One racer as a part of an engineering class, explore the secrets of human cell life on NSF grant funded research projects, trade stock in a business class, grow seedlings and plants in one of the few teaching/working nurseries in the US, and perform with other artists across disciplines in productions such as Drummers, Dancers and Dreamers.
Location Information
U of I is located in Moscow, a college town, in the region of the US with rolling wheat fields that National Geographic magazine referred to as "A Paradise Called the Palouse." It is ideal for students who love the great outdoors with world class river rafting (Salmon River), skiing (Silver Mountain, Brundage & Schweitzer), fishing (Clearwater River) & hiking (Idaho Primitive Area). It is only 1 1/2 hours from Spokane and 5 hours from Seattle so students can also access vibrant nearby cities.
