10.1. Maintenance of NSE Agreements
 
Contracting institutions participate in the exchange program on the basis of their agreement with the National Student Exchange. Signed agreements are retained in NSE HQ files.
 
10.2. Expanding and Developing the Network
National Student Exchange works to expand and develop the network of member colleges and universities in accordance with targeted goals of the consortium. Efforts include development and distribution of promotional materials, program promotion at national and regional meetings, communication with prospective member campuses, website development and maintenance, program implementation at new member campuses, assistance with program administration at member campuses, campus coordinator training, NSE program assessment, and assistance with problem resolution at member campuses.
 
10.3. Print and Electronic Resources
NSE HQ provides the services/materials listed below to assist program administration at member campuses. Each member campus is entitled to receive a supply of appropriate NSE materials as a benefit of membership.
 
10.3.1. NSE Handbook
The NSE Handbook is available online and accessible to all NSE campus coordinators.
 
10.3.2. NSE Website
NSE.org is maintained by NSE HQ and is constantly updated to provide vital information to campus coordinators, prospective member campuses, and prospective students.
 
10.3.3. Email Lists
Google Group email lists are used to facilitate communication between NSE HQ and NSE member campuses. Use all_NSE@nse.org to email all NSE Coordinators.
 
10.3.4. Email Newsletters
NSE sends an email newsletter twice monthly to all campuses. It includes timely information regarding webinar registration, conference registration, coordinator responsibilities, and other NSE news and updates.
 
10.3.5. Publications
Student guides, posters, and postcards for program promotion are shipped to member campuses annually. Additional promotional resources are available online for member campus use.
 
10.3.6. Monthly Webinars
NSE hosts monthly webinars to educate campus coordinators to NSE policy, procedures, program promotion, and new member campuses. Webinar recordings are posted at NSE.org for coordinator reference.
 
10.4. Liaison with Coordinators
Coordinators are encouraged to contact NSE HQ whenever assistance is needed in answering a question or resolving an issue.
 
10.5. Annual Conference
The annual placement conference includes sessions and activities focused on leadership and professional development for coordinators, idea sharing for benchmark program management, and the consortium business meeting.
 
10.6. Student Placements
Most student placements are made by campus coordinators at the annual Priority Placement Event held in early March. Direct post-conference placements also take place March through November 30.
 
10.7. Placement Probability
Placement probability is calculated for first and alternate choices so students may make an educated decision regarding placement preferences. Placement probability is published at NSE.org.
10.8. Program Assessment
NSE HQ conducts periodic assessment of the National Student Exchange program.
