About This Campus

PUPR is a private, non-profit, co-educational higher education institution founded in 1966. The main campus is located in San Juan at the HatoRey ward, quite close to the Golden Mile. The main academic disciplines are: Engineering, Geomatic Sciences, Architecture and Business Administration. Also, PUPR is the largest private Hispanic Serving Engineering School in the United States and its territories. PUPR also has the authorization of the CHEPR and the accreditations of ABET, NAAB and IACBE.

PUPR is located closer to the Golden Mile at San Juan. This is a banking district at the meropolitan area.

  • The language of instruction is Spanish. Students must demonstrate Spanish language proficiency on their home campus prior to placement. CALENDAR COURSE LOAD: The University operates on a trimester calendar (three semesters equals one academic year). Credit hours are awarded on a semester basis.
