About This Campus

Austin Peay State University, founded in 1927, is a four-year public, doctoral level university is located in Clarksville, Tennessee’s 5th largest city and home to the state’s youngest population. The university is named in honor of the former Tennessee Governor Austin Peay. APSU offers over 56 majors and 63 different concentrations. Academics at Austin Peay are organized into six colleges and two schools including College of Arts and Letters, College of Behavioral and Health Sciences, School of Nursing, College of Business, College of Education, College of Graduate Studies, College of Science and Mathematics, and School of Technology and Public Management.

Austin Peay State University is located near downtown Clarksville so it’s an easy walk or drive to local restaurants, entertainment venues, and much more. Clarksville is just 45 minutes northwest of Nashville.
