LimitationsEnrollment in some courses in business, computer science, education, engineering, aviation, aerospace studies, and art may be limited. Art fields may require a portfolio. Music may require an audition.
Several departments on campus have instituted differential tuition for their courses. Information on differential tuition can be found in the appropriate year's Tuition and Fee Schedule: https://www.usu.edu/registrar/registration/payment/. Students on any exchange program may take up to 6 credits of classes that have differential tuition and have that covered under the exchange agreement. Students who take more than 6 credits of classes that have differential will be responsible for covering the additional cost of the differential tuition above the covered 6 credits.

The housing deposit is mandatory if living on campus. $200 of the housing deposit is refundable if the housing is left in the condition it is found, at the discretion of USU Housing. Just one housing deposit would be due whether a student is staying for a semester or an academic year.

Notes About HousingMost exchange students stay on campus -- if you choose to stay on campus, apply for housing as soon as possible after receiving your student A number, as housing fills up fast. There is a Global Village living-learning residence hall (Jones Hall) that is suggested for students who would like to engage in intercultural activities and have roommates from around the world, including Utah. Important Notes about Health Insurance
For US and Canadian universities, proof of health insurance must be demonstrated or student must purchase the campus policy. Insurance costs for the 22-23 academic year are $917.00 for Fall 2022 and $1,490 for Spring/Summer 2023. We are waiting to receive 23-24 academic year numbers.
