The University Honors College seeks to meet the needs of students who thrive on intellectual challenge by offering special interdisciplinary academic opportunities outside the major. These students are curious, ambitious, reflective, independent-minded. They are active participants in their own learning experiences, and they are concerned to use their gifts to benefit others as well. They profit from taking course work with like-minded students, and with teachers who are skillful in leading them
