About the Program

The Honors program at the University of Hawai`i at Mānoa is an opportunity to take small, interactive classes and conduct original, hands-on research and creative work in your major department, guided by world-class UHM faculty. For many students, this can represent a unique educational journey, combining the resources of a research intensive university with the personalized experience that students enjoy at liberal arts institutions. Our program encourages interdisciplinary and hands-on learning, where students put their skills and ideas into action. Students join Honors to develop their potential to create positive impact via academics, career preparation, and personal engagement.
