Social Context of Education and Teaching English in China: (ED 2114): Students will experience a meaningful entryway to China, a country that is becoming increasingly important in the global landscape; develop an initial understanding of basic principles of teaching, learning and language acquisition; develop mastery of basic teaching methods. Students will have opportunity to learn at Capital Normal University in Beijing China. Students will then venture further to a rural middle school in Chiping County, Shandong Province.
This program runs from May 25-June 22, is worth 4 credits, and has no prerequisites. It is led by Sara Lam, Assistant Professor of Elementary Education, and Kiel Harell, Assistant Professor of Elementary Education
