We'll do the rest!

Thank you for your interest in NSE Guest Student Exchange. NSE has offered collegiate student exchange programs since 1968, and more than 125,000 students have exchanged with NSE over the last five decades. Guest Student Exchange is an affordable way to expand your academic curriculum with campus options available for less than $6,000 a semester.

Applications for exchange in Spring 2025 now accepted!

Applications for future semesters (Summer 2025, Fall 2025, Spring 2026) will be accepted beginning March 10, 2025.

Guest Student exchange is available to students who are enrolled at accredited 4-year baccalaureate colleges and universities in the United States and Canada which are not currently NSE members. Guest Students may choose a semester exchange from among 40 campuses in 25 states. Placement is guaranteed if you meet all eligibility requirements and campus deadlines. Student eligibility must be verified by the student's home campus.

The Guest Student Application fee ($500, nonrefundable) is paid directly to NSE at the time of application. The Guest Student Placement fee (nonrefundable) is due to NSE when placement is confirmed. Students pay resident tuition, mandatory fees, and room and board costs (if living on campus) directly to the host university. Figures below reflect an estimated TOTAL COST for the application fee, placement fee, tuition, and fees (room and board not included).

Students utilizing financial aid may need a consortium agreement with their home campus for aid disbursement. A student may be required to apply for a leave of absence while on exchange. Courses taken while on exchange will generally be applied at the home campus as transfer credit.

Where can I go?
The campuses below are available to Guest Students on the NSE Host Payment tuition and fees plan. Guest Students pay the application and placement fee directly to NSE. If you exchange to one of these campuses, you will pay resident (in-state) tuition and fees directly to the campus. Consult the Campus Profile to identify any additional general fees that may be assessed. Students living on campus pay room and meals to the host campus along with fees which are assessed as a condition of enrollment in specific courses (i.e., laboratory, studio art, etc.).
