National Student Exchange recognizes students who demonstrate the best use of their study away exchange participation each year. The Bette Worley Student Achievement Award has been provided to Gabriel Romero Agosto. Gabriel is a student at University of Puerto Rico, Cayey and attended University of Minnesota, Twin Cities on exchange in Fall 2019. His major is Biology.
While on exchange at University of Minnesota Twin Cities (UMTC), Gabriel Romero Agosto participated in a 10-week summer research program, took courses in the College of Biological Sciences, and participated in molecular genetics research with Dr. Dana Davis.
Gabriel participated in the 2019 Fall Diversity Conference in Biomedical Science at UMTC and was awarded best poster presentation. He was selected as a Princeton University MOL-BIO scholar and visited the Princeton University campus where he networked with students and faculty in the graduate molecular biology department and presented his research. Gabriel traveled to the National Diversity in STEM Conference in Hawaii to present his research to conclude his semester.
